Marvel and DC movies are some of the most anticipated films each year, making billions of dollars worldwide. It was no surprise then that when DC announced the movie SHAZAM! was in production, fans began speculating plot lines and casting. However, when director David F. Sandberg posted a teaser trailer for the move this morning he gave them a bigger surprise than they anticipated; an April Fools surprise!
Posting the alleged teaser trailer on his official Twitter account this morning, fans were excited to see what the future movie had in store. But when clips of the old SHAZAM! TV show as well as a goofy title appeared in the trailer, fans knew that it had to be a joke. After realizing it was April Fools Day the purpose of the post all became evident.
We will have to wait to see what’s really in store for this movie. Either way the anticipation is higher than ever and when the real trailer drops its sure to go viral!
